Before we begin, we must say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! We pray Allah grants you many more spins around the sun. Birthdays are special because they remind us of how precious the time we get on earth is. What better way to celebrate that than giving from your heart and blessings?!

Facebook Birthdays are gaining traction with more and more people giving their family and friends the opportunity to give to humanitarian causes. So, here are some ways to make your Facebook birthday campaign successful. Facebook has helped us make it easy to do. Ok, here we go!

1. Who, What, Where…..

Your description means everything. A pro tip is to make sure your Facebook friends know the mission of your charity of choice, IRUSA; it’s also a great idea to add a bit of  history about the organization. You can find all the information you need here. We even have a history section that you can scroll through to see what IRUSA donors have achieved over the course of our 25 years (and counting!).

2. Tell Everybody

Once your fundraising page is complete, it’s time to tell everybody.  Send your link to your Facebook fundraiser to friends and family who are offline as well. Remember your Whatsapp groups, iMessage groups, and even those weird Facebook messenger groups your aunt forces you in too–they’re all great ways to share your fundraiser. We communicate so much on multiple platforms, there’s no reason not to drop a link in them.

3. The early bird gets the worm

Last but not least, two or three days prior to publishing your birthday fundraiser, share a post about what day you’ll be turning (insert age). Then let them know it’s going to be even more special because you’ll be raising money to support IRUSA’s humanitarian projects.

READY, SET, AND GO!

We are so excited to celebrate with you in this amazing way, and to work together with YOU for a better world. HAPPY BIRTHDAY again from all of your friends at IRUSA!!!  Not your birthday? No worries! You can still raise funds for awesome IRUSA projects via Facebook here.
