6 Ayahs on Allah’s Promises for Good Deeds

Everything we did in preparation to receive and spread love this Eid didn’t come easy. But we buckled down, dug deep in our hearts, and within our pockets, to make sure that people we love can enjoy themselves.

There were also people you knew you’d never have the pleasure of meeting face-to-face that you sent you fresh Qurbani meat to. And even if it wasn’t money that you contributed, the time spent caring for those closest to you was truly an investment in the bounty of Allah. We’ve collected six ayahs to remind ourselves and you of the promises of Allah for those who do good for his sake.

Surah Al-Maidah 5: Ayah 9

Allah has promised those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, that for them there is forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise).

Surah Al-Baqarah 2: Ayah 82

And those who believe and do righteous good deeds, they are dwellers or paradise, they will dwell therein forever.

Surah An-Nisa’ 4: Ayah 122

But those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, We shall admit them to Gardens under which rivers flow (i.e. in Paradise) to dwell therein forever. Allah’s promise is the Truth; and whose words can be truer than those of Allah?

Surah Ash-Shura 42: Ayah 22

But those who believe and do righteous deeds (will be) in the flowering meadows of the Gardens (Paradise). They shall have whatsoever they desire with their Lord. That is the supreme grace, (Paradise).

Surah Al-Jathiya 45: Ayah 30

Then, as for those who believed and did righteous good deeds, their Lord will admit them to His Mercy. That will be the evident success.

Sacrifice is what makes the reward possible

Allah (SWT) promises us such significant reward because for every time we decide to give from what we’re blessed with, we are forfeiting wants and needs.

Sometimes serving others can be an insurmountable struggle. But this past Eid we as a community hit the finish line in amazing fashion. For our efforts, Allah has promised invaluable rewards.

So thank you, for all you sacrificed so that others can benefit. IRUSA looks forward to continuing to work with you for a better world.
